Swedish sensation, My Heart Is A Metronome, are breaking out of their home country with their powerful and catchy brand of indie-rock, and they’re releasing their debut EP, Tierp on 10th February 2017.
The trio formed after lead singer Mattis’ former group lacked the ambition to really move their music forward. Consequently, he recruited Felix and Gustaf who now make up the rest of My Heart Is A Metronome.
Since starting off playing at a kid’s birthday party, the band have progressed leaps and bounds, touring all over Sweden and the UK, whilst gaining airplay for their music all over the world in America, Germany and France.
The lead track from the EP, also named ‘Tierp’, is a stormer of a track, employing gentle verses in contrast with a powerful, super-infectious rock-infused chorus that will have you singing for days.
The band’s debut EP has been mixed by three-time Grammy award winner Pelle Gunnerfeldt (The Hives, Status Quo, The Knife) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, Black Keys, The 1975). MHIAM have also been labelled ‘Sweden’s best unsigned band’, so they’re sure to be a name you’ll be hearing more often in the future
