Singer-songwriter Daisy Hicks returns with jazz inspired Christmas single ‘Christmas Without You’. Daughter of legendary jazz drummer Tony Hicks and related to international recording artist Chris Rae, it’s no surprise Hicks was going to succeed in the music industry. By the age of 19 Daisy had been signed to Concept Music, leading to her debut album ‘Mistress’ getting radio play on the likes of Kiss FM and Capitol.
Having worked with Aron Friedman, Pete Craigie and Malcom Maddock, Hicks has collaborated internationally. Her new laid back jazzy style was recorded on Elton John’s piano , however the process was emotional as her father, who recently passed away, recorded in many studios she worked in.
Written by Daisy, produced by Tim Laws, Pete Craigie and Chris Harvey, ‘Christmas Without You’ is not only a well formed single but will be giving 10% of digital sales to BBC’s Children In Need.
